tri-county tournament results
The Tri-County Tournament was held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Lakeshore Lanes in Sheboygan. 70 bowlers from three associations (GROWBA, Fond du Lac, and SABA) competed in either the scratch or handicap division. The top eight bowlers in each division advanced to a bracket-style elimination to determine the champions.
David Wentlandt was the champion of the scratch division and MiKayla Mieloch was the handicap division winner. David and MiKayla are both members of the GROWBA Association.
Scratch Division – After four games of qualifying, Nicole Burt led the field, followed by Kevin Grahn, David Wentlandt, Bryan Schmidt, Steve Schmit, Josh Bauer, Erik Zukaitis, and Bryan Medinger. In the opening round, all higher seeds advanced:
(1) Nicole Burt defeated (8) Bryan Medinger
(2) Kevin Grahn defeated (7) Erik Zukaitis
(3) David Wentlandt defeated (6) Josh Bauer
(4) Bryan Schmidt defeated (5) Steve Schmit
In the semifinals, (4) Bryan Schmidt upset (1) Nicole Burt, and (3) David Wentlandt upset (2) Kevin Grahn.
In the championship match, David Wentlandt topped Bryan Schmidt to claim the Scratch Division title.
Handicap Division – MiKayla Mieloch dominated the Handicap Division from start to finish. She earned the top qualifying spot and never looked back, winning all of her matches to claim the championship. The other bowlers advancing to the bracket finals were Jason Ziemer, Ryan Schmitz, Ed Zick, Andrea Marx, Greg Ziegler, Mike Nuoffer, and Kyle Ninneman. In the opening round:
(1) MiKayla Mieloch defeated (8) Kyle Ninneman
(2) Jason Ziemer defeated (7) Mike Nuoffer
(6) Greg Ziegler upset (3) Ryan Schmitz
(5) Andrea Marx upset (4) Ed Zick
In the semifinals, (1) MiKayla Mieloch defeated (6) Greg Ziegler, while (2) Jason Ziemer defeated (5) Andrea Marx.
In the championship match, MiKayla continued her winning streak and defeated Jason Ziemer to claim the Handicap Division title.

Association Championship
The Sheboygan Area Bowling Association Championship (City Tournament) will be held in January of 2026. Team event will be held at Globe Lanes in Random Lake on January 4, 10 and 11. Minor events will be held on January 17-18, 24-25 at Lakeshore Lanes in Sheboygan. The tournament format will be the same as last year with 4 person teams, doubles, singles and all events. USBC WBA 600 club application
